KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has announced to observe ‘day of mourning’ across the country on Friday against killing and abduction of its workers, Geo News reported.
Addressing a press conference here Thursday, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, member MQM Rabitta Committee, said party sector and zonal offices are being "besieged".
He said eight MQM workers are still missing, adding they were arrested by Rangers and men in plain clothes.
He appealed to human right organizations and Chief Justice of Pakistan to take notice of the situation. He said CJ should take suo moto notice of killing of Asif, Hussain and Muslim.
The MQM leader also asked traders community to shut their business voluntarily.
He said black flags would be hoisted at MQM offices on Friday.
On the other hand, All Private Schools Association announced to keep schools locked on Friday, following MQM’s call.
It is pertinent to note here that MQM has appealed to masses to observe the day of mourning against alleged killings of its workers.
