Elisabeth Moss has opened up about the emotions of saying goodbye to The Handmaid’s Tale, which spanned seven years from 2017 to 2025.
In an interview with Hello!,the two-time Emmy winner candidly discussed her experience of filming the feminist science fiction series.
"It's surreal and emotional, knowing that this is the end; I've loved playing this character,” she said.
The Hollywood actress portrayed the character of June Osborne, who was forced into a servitude as the Handmaidi in dystopian society, in the series and also served as director and producer of the series.
"It's been a privilege not only to be on this journey as an actor, but also to have been given the chance to direct. It's been a dream job and I'm going to miss everybody so much,” she added.
Before concluding,Elisabeth Moss shared, "There were tears, but not so much from me; I was directing, and I'm also an executive producer, so it didn't feel as though it was the end to me. I still had a lot of work to do. Now it's starting to sink in. It's emotional."
The Handmaid’s Tale'slast episode is scheduled to be released on May 27, 2025.
