Jennifer Hudson and her teenage son are getting prepared for a summer full of basketball.
While having a conversation with PEOPLE magazine on Thursday, May 15, the 43-year-old talk show host talked about her surprise appearance at Broadway’s Smash at the Imperial Theatre in New York City and her summer plans with her 15-year-old son David.
Hudson, who shares David with her ex-fiance, David Otunga, said, "We just want to be outside, because he's about to be a junior in high school, so he's a basketball kid and a music kid. So, we love going to concerts and basketball games."
She went on to admit by quipping, "I'm a basketball mom. So, you're going to see me at a lot of those sports events."
"And a lot of concerts. Because we love music too. So, we're just going to hang out and have a fun summer because we worked really hard throughout this school year," Hudson shared.
Notably, this came after the mother-son duo was spotted wearing Crocs at a Lakers game against the Timberwolves earlier this month.
