KIEV: Five Ukrainian nationals were among nine foreign tourists killed in an unprecedented attack in Pakistan's normally peaceful Himalayan region, the Ukrainian ambassador to Islamabad said on Sunday.
"Minimum 10 people were killed, of them five were Ukranian nationals," ambassador Vladimir Lakomov told AFP.
Police in Pakistan said gunmen had killed nine tourists overnight at a base camp for Nanga Parbat, one of the world's highest mountains. The victims are believed to include Chinese and Russians.
