Princess baptized at palace Church on parents' special day

Royal family Princess Ines, Duchess of Västerbotten, was baptized in Drottningholm's Castle Church

Princess Ines was baptized on Saturday at Drottningholm Palace Churchcoinciding with her parents' tenth wedding anniversary, Swedish media reported.

Born on February 7, 2025, Ines, Duchess of Västerbotten, ise fourth child and only daughter of Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia.

According to reports, her godparents include Princess Estelle, Fredrik von der Esch, Claes Kockum, Sandrine Kockum, and Tiara Larsson

She's eighth in line to the Swedish throne and granddaughter of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia.

A 21-gun salute was held in Stockholm, Boden, Härnösand, Karlskrona, and Gothenburg in her her honor on her birth at Danderyd Hospital.

Princess Ines holds the title of Duchess of Västerbotten, but due to a decision made in 2019, she won't be part of the royal family's public engagements and will be considered a private person.

She has three older brothers, Princes Alexander, Gabriel, and Julian.

In an Instagram post, the Swedish royal family said, "Earlier today, Princess Ines, Duchess of Västerbotten, was baptized in Drottningholm's Castle Church."

It said the baptism was broadcast on Swedish Television, Saturday June 14 at 20:00.
