QUETTA: Funeral prayers for 28 of the 30 victims of the Hazara Town bombings were held here on Monday and they were laid to rest at the Hazara graveyard.
A case has been registered in Brewery Road police station while an investigation team has been formed that will be headed by the superintendent of police to probe the bombing.
On Sunday night, a powerful suicide bomb explosion killed 30 people including women and children, while over 50 were injured in Hazara Town, Quetta.
A shutter down strike was held in the city as many roads and markets remained closed while traffic on the roads remained thin.
Three days of mourning have also been announced by the Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) who called upon the police, administration, agencies and judiciary to make stopping such horrendous acts a top priority.
MWM leader Allama Abdul Khaliq Asadi said it was obvious from the rampancy of terrorism in just three out of four provinces of Pakistan that it was a conspiracy far bigger than it seemed.
Asadi also slammed the government for inviting terrorists for negotiations, rather than dealing them a deadly blow once and for all.
