PRUDENCE Guyana: West Indies were restricted to 232 for eight by Pakistan bowlers in the second One-day International of the five-match series here at the Providence Stadium on Tuesday.

West Indies made a disastrous start when their star batsman Chris Gayle were dismissed again in the first over by fast bowler Mohammad Irfan after Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq won the toss and opted for fielding.

However, Johnson Charles (31) and Darren Bravo (54) repaired the damage with a 79-run second wicket partnership.

Later skipper Dwayne Bravo played a responsible innings of 43 not out along with Keiren Pollard (30) as both added 70 runs for the sixth wicket stand.

For Pakistan leg-spinner Shahid Afridi and off-break bowler Saeed Ajmal claimed two wickets each while pacers Irfan and Asad Ali took one wicket each.
