ISLAMABAD: Khyber Pakhtonkhwa Minister for Local Government Inayatullah Khan has said that KPK government is determined to hold Local Bodies polls in the province even before Supreme Court's directives in this regard.

He said that administrative, financial and political autonomy should be given to the people through the Local Bodies.

He said KPK government will be able to prepare a draft of Local Bodies Bill till the end of this month and will try to hold Local Bodies polls within next four months. Local Bodies is a provincial subject after passage of 18th amendment, he added.

PML-N leader Senator Zafar Ali Shah also said that PML-N government respect Supreme Court's verdict regarding holding of Local Bodies polls. Perhaps, Punjab government will soon summon Provincial Assembly session to legislate law for Local government elections, he added.

He said Punjab government is very serious to hold Local Bodies elections.
