ISLAMABAD: The personnel of Koral police and Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) arrested four kidnappers who were allegedly involved in abducting a person at gun point near `Khanna Pul' area, a police spokesman said on Friday.
According to details, four persons Abdul Ghaffar, Abu Sufian, Syed Waqas and Imran Mehmud, residents of Lahore, kidnapped Muhammad Nawaz from `Khana Pul' area at gunpoint and moved towards Koral on their car.
Cousin of the Muhammad Nawaz who was accompanying him at the time of kidnap immediately informed the police and the whole area was cordoned off .
Station House officer Inspector Rana Mubarik Ali, ASI Shaukat Ali started checking in the area and officials of Islamabad Traffic police including Head constable Muhammad Iftikhar , Constables Rehmat Ali and Muhammad Waris, performing duties at Koral Chowk, were also informed about this kidnapping incident and particular car.
Policemen intercepted this car at Koral Chowk and managed to arrest all car occupants besides recovering abducted person. Two 30-bore pistols and 30 bullets were also recovered from kidnappers and further investigation was underway.
