ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Thursday said he stands by his statements and was ready to face punishment in the contempt case whose hearing is due to be held in the Supreme Court (SC) on Friday.
A three-judge SC bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and comprising Justice Jawad S Khwaja and Justice Azmat Saeed Shaikh will be conducting the hearing into the contempt of court notice on Friday.
The SC issued the contempt of court notice to Imran Khan for his statements in the media following the rescheduling of presidential elections by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on the apex court’s orders issued on PML-N’s petition.
