Several tributes pour in after the death of Diane Keaton

Diane Keaton remembers Diane Keaton

Diane Keaton, who has left an unforgettable mark on the industry, gets a tribute from her co-star Keanu Reeves.

They both worked in Something's Gotta Give in 2003. “She was very nice to me,” he remembers the late star during the NYC premiere of Good Fortune. “Generous, generous artist and a very special, unique person.”

Moreover, Diane's death follows many tributes from the titans of Hollywood. Woody Allen is one of them.

In an essay in The Free Press, the filmmaker recalls meeting the actress for the first time at a play at the Morosco Theatre in 1969. "If Huckleberry Finn was a gorgeous young woman, he’d be Keaton," he recalls his first thoughts of Diane after seeing her.

“Unlike anyone the planet has experienced or is unlikely to ever see again, her face and laugh illuminated any space she entered," Woody sums up.

Meanwhile, Diane's friend Carole Bayer Sager shares the condition she was in when she met her prior to her death.

“I saw her two or three weeks ago, and she was very thin. She had lost so much weight," she told People.

On Oct 11, Diane passed away in her home in California. She was 79.
