The music world received a new shock on Thursday when it heard the news of the death of Ace Frehley.
The late KISS guitarist passed away peacefully in Morristown, New Jersey, on October 16.
His family also confirmed his death by releasing a statement on social media.
“We are completely devastated and heartbroken. In his last moments, we were fortunate enough to have been able to surround him with loving, caring, peaceful words, thoughts, prayers and intentions as he left this earth," the family said in his statement.

Ace Frehley had one kid, his daughter, Monique, whom he had welcomed with estranged wife Jeanette Trerotola in 1980.
Monique Frehley has pursued her own creative path as a singer.
In 1985, Ace Frehley and Jeanette Trerotola announced their separation after seven years of marriage, but they did not finalize their divorce.
In 2018, the guitarist made headlines when he confirmed his relationship with ex-girlfriend Lara Cove.
Unfortunately, the two parted ways in 2024.
“I broke up with my ex, Lara. Sorry. She’s gone,” Ace saidduring a June 2024 concert. “I still care about her. Wonderful girl, beautiful girl. We decided to part our own ways, and she’s happy, I’m happy."
"It was just time. Things go south, right? Three out of four marriages end after five years in this country, statistically. I don’t wanna be a bearer of bad news, but that’s reality," he added.
