ISLAMABAD: Sikander the gunman who brought the federal capital to a standstill last week has been shifted from the surgical unit to a regular ward at the PIMs hospital.
Sikander’s health is said to be improving and he is eating regular meals. The gunman has also been cleared by doctors to appear in court for his actions. Sikander had been shifted from the Intensive Care Unit to the surgical ward on Thursday night.
On August 15, Sikander armed with two assault rifles started shooting on the Jinnah Avenue in Islamabad. The armed standoff which lasted for six hours came to an end after PPP leader Zamurud Khan tackled Sikander leading to his arrest.
