ISLAMABAD: Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police has arrested two proclaimed offenders wanted to police for their alleged involvement in kidnapping for ransom and dacoity cases, a police spokesman said on Thursday.
According to details, SP (Investigation) Muhammad Ilyas assigned special task to CIA police for immediate arrest of criminals involved in crime cases of heinous nature.
Following his directions, a special team headed by DSP Zubair Ahmed Sheikh along with other police officials including Sub-Inspector Muhammad Asghar Bhatti started their renewed efforts to arrest culprits being at large despite their involvement in two crime cases of kidnapping and dacoity.
This team succeeded to arrest Abdul Kareem who was involved in a case of kidnapping for ransom, registered against him at Golra police station.
Similarly, another person, Ghulam Jilani, involved in a dacoity case registered at Bhara Kahu police station was also arrested by this team.
SSP Muhammad Rizwan has appreciated this performance of CIA police team
and directed heads of all police stations to launch aggressive crackdown against the proclaimed offenders and court absconders.
He has directed for immediate arrest of criminals who are at large despite their involvement in crime cases of heinous nature. He said performance of all police stations would be reviewed in this regard soon. (APP)
