Queen Camilla carried on King Charles' mission of advocating for peace amid the ongoing conflict.
The Queen Consort, alongside key members of the royal family, including Duchess Sophie, Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and other special guests, took part in the Biennial RIFLES Awards Dinner on November 27 at Guildhall.
Camilla met with the officials at the event before delivering a powerful speech, which was listened to by Riflemen, Rangers, veterans, and other guests.
Ahead of the dinner, King Charles' wife shed light on the Ukraine war crisis, making an urgent plea to find peaceful solutions.
She said, "Only recently we marked the 80th anniversaries of both victory in Europe and victory over Japan.
"During these moments of commemoration, I was fortunate to speak privately with so many of our surviving veterans who voiced a clear and unanimous plea, the path to peace must be pursued with the same vigour and determination that our Forces prepare for combat."
She added, "It is only fitting, then, to rewind the clock 170 years, when The Rifles’ antecedents stood alongside our European allies in modern-day Ukraine.
"Let us hope, as our antecedents did then, that our resolve to stand up to tyranny in this same region can again find a resolution to another devastating and brutal war."
It is important to note that King Charles met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at Windsor Castle on October 24, showcasing his support for the country.
