HARARE: Middle-order batsmen Malcolm Waller and Sikandar Raza were fighting back bravely to take Zimbabwe to 163 for three at tea on second day of the first Test here at the Harare Sports Club ground on Wednesday.
Both added 95 runs for the unbeaten fourth wicket stand and were still at the crease with Waller on 64 and Raza, who is playing his first Test, was on 29 as Zimbabwe were 86 runs behind Pakistan with seven wickets in hand in the first innings.
Pakistan resumed their first innings on 249 for nine today with overnight batsmen Saeed Ajmal (49) and Rahat Ali (nought) but Saeed Ajmal was bowled by the first ball he faced from Tendai Chatara. He could not complete his half-century in Test cricket by only one run short.
