Pak army rejects reports of prisoner swap with Taliban

RAWALPAINDI: The Pakistan Army has rejected a news report of a prisoner swap with the Taliban.

A foreign news agency had reported that the Pakistan army and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) exchanged prisoners on Wednesday. The report stated that the exchange included six TTP militants and two paramilitary Frontier Corps soldiers.

In a statement, the ISPR said neither FC soldiers nor militants had been released.
