Local bourse closes 74 points up to 23,242

KARACHI: Stock prices at Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) gained on Monday as the benchmark KSE 100-share index rose by 74.64 points to close at 23,242.68.

Today’s rise in the local equities was mainly the result of buying, particularly, in banking sector while most of other counters including textile, cement and oil registered decline.

NBP closed at Rs52.52, showing a 5 percent gain while MLCF advanced by 0.97 percent to finish at Rs26.02.
