Munawar terms PU VC a weak person

LAHORE: Jamat e Islam (JI) Chief Munawar Hassan Thursday said that Chief of Army Staff (COAS) had not got so angry on Salala check post attack and drone strikes as on Dir attack.

Munawar said that no development has yet been seen from government side after All Parties Conference (APC) that had given mandate to the government to hold talks with the Taliban. He stressed that peace talks with Taliban was in the best interest of the country to resolve issues.

Criticizing the Vice Chancellor of Punjab University, Mujahid Kamran, JI chief said that he has never seen such a weak person like him, adding that if terrorists were present in the university then administration should have taken action against them.

He further said that targeted operation in the Karachi city was being conducted without homework.
