KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that the government’s top priority is to bring to book criminals involved in kidnapping for ransom, target killings and extortion.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Qaim Ali Shah said that the Rangers and police are carrying out targeted operation against criminal elements in Karachi with enthusiasm.
The chief minister said that the people of Karachi expressed confidence over the raids as, he said, the extortion incidents have reduced in the metropolis following crackdown against criminals.
The chief minister further said that the Sindh Rangers Director General and Police Inspector General apprised him about the raids on daily basis.
