LAHORE: The Lahore High Court Complaint Cell Monday took notice of kidnapping and solemnizing 'nikah' at gun point with a 13-year-old girl in the area of Garjaakh.

The Complaint Cell has directed District & Sessions Judge, Gujranwala to probe into the matter and submit a detailed report regarding steps taken by the police along with his own comments in a week.

The notice was taken on a news item wherein it was stated that Allah Ditta, resident of Hameed Pura told the media that his 40-year-old neighbour Ramzan alias Jani kidnapped his minor girl with the help of Sadiq and Shaheen Bibi and took her to undisclosed place where they detained her for a week.

Later, accused Ramzan maneuvered marriage with the minor and a marriage certificate with false witnesses was presented to the police.

Allah Ditta alleged that investigating officer, Ishaq, gave protocol to the accused in the police station after accepting illegal gratification and pressuring the plaintiff for settlement. (APP)
