KARACHI: Three people were killed and two others injured in different acts of violence in the city on Saturday.
Ali Muhammad, 48, son Rajab Nawaz, was gunned down when unknown armed men opened fire on him in Soomar Goth within the remit of Steel Town police station in National Highway.
The body was moved to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.
Police said that the motive behind the firing could not be ascertained yet. No FIR could be lodged till the filing this report.
A-24-year-old man, Muhammad Ayaz, son of Muhammad Shah, was shot at and injured over a personal dispute in Ibrahim Hydri within the jurisdiction of Ibrahim Hydri police station in Korangi. The injured was rushed to JPMC for treatment.
Police said that the motive behind the firing was a personal dispute. No case could be registered till filing this news.
A man was tortured to death in Safora Goth within the limit of Sachal police station here on Saturday.
Chaudhary Aslam, 40, was tortured to death over a personal dispute near Ghazi Chowk in Safora Goth.
The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for an autopsy.
Police said that the victim was tortured to death by Sarfaraz Raja over a personal enmity.
A-45-old woman, Kashar, wife of Muhammad Ghafoor, was slaughtered by her sons near filter plant within the jurisdiction of Steel police station. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for an autopsy.
Police said that two sons killed her mother for making second marriage with Muhammad Ghafoor. Her First husband name was Qadir Khan.
Police have registered the case on the complaint of her second husband and started further investigation.
Hanif, 30, son of Ali Dad was wounded when unknown armed men opened fire on him in Baldia Town No 2 within the remit of Site B police station.
The injured was rushed to Civil Hospital Karachi for treatment.
Police said that the reason behind the firing could not be ascertained yet. No FIR could be lodged till filing this news. (PPI)
