Nawaz Sharif welcomed upon arrival in Washington

WASHINGTON: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrived in Washington on Sunday on a four-day official visit to the US, Geo News reported.

The Prime Minister along with his wife and delegation was accorded a warm welcome at Joint Base Andrews upon his arrival in a special plane from London.

During his four-day official trip, Nawaz Sharif will be holding meetings with US president Barack Obama and other important members of US administration.

Later today, the PM Sharif will be meeting with US Secretary of State John Kerry in the State Department here.

Earlier, talking to media before his departure in London, Nawaz Shairf said that he would present Pakistan's viewpoint on various national and international issues to the US administration.

“Pakistan's policy on all maters is clear and we have nothing to hide or be shy about, we want to work with the US and other world powers as a responsible country,” he said.
