10 killed after Sri Lanka bus plunges off cliff

COLOMBO: Police says 10 people were killed and 18 others were injured when a passenger bus skidded off a road and plunged down a cliff in central Sri Lanka.

A police statement Tuesday said the bus from a state-owned company was traveling along a mountain road in the central hill town of Bandarawela when it veered off the road and fell down a 200-foot (60-meter) precipice Monday night. (AP)
