Balochistan LB polls: Last day for filing nomination forms today

QUETTA: The nomination papers for the local body (LB) elections in Balochistan could be filed by today, Geo news reported.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had extended the date for filling of nomination papers by one day on Friday.

The submitted nomination papers could be challenged on November 10 after which the process of scrutiny would take place.

Appeals over rejected or approved papers could be filed from November 12 to 16 which would be processed from November 17 and 18.

On November 19, the candidates would have a chance to withdraw their nomination papers while the final list of candidates would be issued on the same day.

The local body election would be held on November 27.
