DUBAI: South Africa made 150-5 in the second Twenty20 international against Pakistan in Dubai on Friday.

Skipper Faf du Plessis hit an aggressive 58 not out while Hashim Amla made 48 as the pair put on 78 for the second wicket after South Africa won the toss and decided to bat.

It was South Africa's highest Twenty20 total against Pakistan, beating the 142-9 they made at Nottingham in 2009.

Du Plessis hit three sixes and a boundary off 48 balls during his fourth Twenty20 fifty to anchor the innings.

For Pakistan, Saeed Ajmal took 3-25 while Sohail Tanvir finished with 2-21. South Africa lead the two-match series 1-0 after winning the first match by nine wickets on Wednesday.
