DAMBULLA: Play began after a rain delay in the third and final one-day international between New Zealand and Sri Lanka in Dambulla on Saturday with the tourists electing to field.

The match was reduced to 43 overs a side due to the 90-minute delay.
Sri Lanka need a win to draw the series 1-1 after New Zealand won the second game in Hambantota on Tuesday. The first match was rained off.
