100 target killings: accused presented before media

KARACHI: Police on Tuesday presented before media a suspect allegedly involved in more than 100 incidents of target killing, Geo News reported.

On the occasion, SSP East Pir Muhammad Shah told the media persons that police raided a flat at Abul Hassan Ispahani Road the other day and took into custody Ghulam Qasim alias Abba, allegedly involved in the target killing of 100 people, along with his two associates – Kalu Bangali and Adil Ali.

The SSP East added that a 9 mm pistol was also recovered from their possession. He said the accused belong to a political party.

He said the accused has confessed to involvement in a deadly attack in Gulshan-e-Iqbal and sparking sectarian violence.

The police officials said that Ghulam Qasim alias Abba was involved in more than 100 incidents of target killing, including 20 killings executed before the month of Muharram.
