LAHORE: Expressing displeasure over the Additional Defence Secretary’s failure to present the 35 missing persons by 1:00 PM, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has ordered that these missing persons be presented at all costs today (Tuesday).

A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Chaudhry resumed hearing of the missing persons case at the Supreme Court’s Lahore Registry.

Earlier during proceedings, the Chief Justice expressed his annoyance over the Defence Secretary's failure to appear personally in the court.
Additional Secretary Defence informed the apex court that that the Secretary Defence could not appear due to being ill.

The Chief Justice said if the Defence Secretary was ill then he should have taken sick leave and handed over the charge to someone else. He further directed Additional Secretary Defence to recover the 35 missing persons and produce them before the court by all means as evidences are that these persons are with the military.
