KARACHI: Sindh Rangers on Friday arrested 18 criminals in different raids carried out in the city and also recovered weapons from their possession.

Rangers spokesman Maj Syed Sibtain said targeted raids were conducted in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 9, Landhi Number 5, Metrovelle, Singho Lane, Thatta Bus Stop, Lyari, KMC Quarters, Cantt Station, Clifton Block 5, Shoe Market, Lea Market, Khamosh Colony Jubilee, Zikri Para and Ali Muhammad Mohalla, Lyari, Baghdadi, Labour Square, Haji Mureed Goth, Nagina Square, Bhittaiabad, Dhani Baksh and Bakhtawar Goth in the wee hours.

He said Rangers also carried out snap checking at Bilal Chowrangi, Korangi, Pahar Gunj and Continental Bakery, Gulshan-e-Iqbal areas. He said during raids, 18 criminals including Lyari gang war accused were arrested while weapons including SMGs and mixed ammo were recovered from their custody.
