Valuables worth Rs 2.5 mn burnt to ashes

LAHORE: Cash and other valuables worth Rs 2.5 million reduced to ashes when fire broke out in a three storey house at Sootar Mandi Lohari Gate area on Thursday.

On receiving information vehicles of fire brigade reached on the spot and controlled the fire after hectic efforts of three hours, said a spokesman of Rescue 1122.

However, no loss of life was reported. An electrical short circuit is said to have sparked the fire.
