CNG prices decrease in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The notification for a nine percent decrease in the GST of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) has been issued. After the notification, price of CNG has decreased by Rs1.23 in Region 1 and Rs0.61 in Region 2.

The Supreme Court had declared the additional nine percent increase in the GST illegal during proceedings of the petroleum prices case. Following the notification, the sales tax on CNG has decreased to 17 percent.

After the decrease, per kilogram price of CNG in Region 1 is Rs74.25, while the price in Region 2 is Rs66.14.
