Police impound 500 motorcycles

LAHORE: Lahore police have impounded 500 motorcycles without number plates and documents during a crackdown.

DIG Operations Rana Abdul Jabbar directed the police to continue the crackdown against motorcycles being used without number plates and documents, said a press release here Friday.

These steps have been taken in case of possible danger of terrorism during the Chehlum Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A), Urs of Data Gunj Bakhush and visit of Turkish Prime Minister.

He said that the traffic police was fully cooperating with Lahore police. The DIG appealed to the citizens to keep documents of their motorcycles during journey to avoid any difficulty.
