French church roof crumbles during Christmas Eve mass

LYON: Christmas Eve mass in a church nestled in the French Alps came to an abrupt end Tuesday when part of the ceiling fell down on the priest´s head, police said.

The 45-year-old priest was in the middle of celebrating mass at the Notre Dame d´Aquilon church in the town of Guilestre when the incident occurred.

The priest was injured in the head and taken to a local hospital as a precaution. The church was closed to the public.
