WELLINGTON: Leading batsman Darren Bravo has been forced to return home from the West Indies´ cricket tour to New Zealand for undisclosed personal reasons.
A team spokesman said 23-year-old Bravo, 23, remained in Auckland after playing in the tourists´ two-wicket win in the first one-day game on Thursday and had now returned to Trinidad.
A reason for his departure has not been given.
The spokesman said the West Indies would not seek a replacement as they still have a squad of 14 players for the remaining four one-dayers and two Twenty20 internationals.
The second one-day game will be played at McLean Park, Napier on Sunday and Kirk Edwards is likely to take Bravo´s place. (AP)
