Small plane makes emergency landing on NYC highway

NEW YORK: New York City emergency officials say a small plane has made an emergency landing on an interstate highway in the borough of the Bronx.

Officials with the city´s Fire Department and Office of Emergency Management say the plane touched down Saturday afternoon on the Major Deegan Expressway.

It wasn´t immediately clear why the plane landed on the highway.

The highway was closed and emergency personnel were on the scene. (AP)
