DUBAI: Pakistan lost Ahmed Shehzad just before lunch on day 3 in their second innings after Sri Lanka were finally dismissed for 388, taking a healthy 223 run lead in the 2nd Test at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
After toying with the Pakistan attack Mahela Jayawardene was the last man out for the visitors bringing an end to a brilliant 129 with the help of 15 boundaries.
Skipper Mathews was dismissed early in the day without adding any runs to his overnight score of 42.
None of the other Sri Lankan batsmen put up any resistance and wickets fell at regular intervals.
Junaid Khan was the most successful bowler ending up with 3-102. Rahat Ali and Saeed Ajmal got a couple a piece.
