LAHORE: Former PPP Punjab President Qasim Zia’s daughter Anum Zia, who was taken into custody Saturday after she injured a policeman in a traffic accident, has been released on bail.

According to Model Town Police, Anum Zia was passing by the Governor House when her car hit a policeman deployed there. The injured policeman was taken to a private hospital in Model Town for treatment.

Anum said she was on her way to a friend’s house and was not speeding. Anum said she was not at fault for the accident and the policeman appeared suddenly and she did not see him while reversing the vehicle.
