BDU defuses 20kg bomb

PESHAWAR: Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Monday thwarted an attempt of terrorism by defusing a 20kg bomb, planted in congested Bana Mari area of Peshawar.

According to AIG BDU Shafqat Malik the explosive devise was planted in Bana Mari area when some passer-by saw it and informed Police.

He said the officials of BDU successfully defused the bomb which if exploded would have caused huge damage.

Shafqat Malik said the BDU is on high alert for smooth passage of Eid Milad-un-Nabi to be celebrated on Tuesday. (APP)
