Lahore High Court takes notice of acid attack

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court(LHC) Complaint Cell Wednesday took notice of an acid attack on a woman by her husband for giving birth to a daughter in Jahanian.

The district and sessions judge Khanewal has been directed to look into the matter and submit a detailed report.

The cell took notice of a press report which stated that a man threw acid on his wife for giving birth to a daughter in Jinnah Colony.

The victim got severe burns and was shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ) in a critical condition while the accused managed to escape.

Police registered a case and started investigations. (APP)
