Prof. Ibrahim, Maulana Yousaf meet TTP Shura again

MIRANSHAH: The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) leader and member of the Taliban negotiations committee Prof Muhammad Ibrahim Khan and its coordinator Maulana Yousaf Shah again held a meeting with political Shura of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on Sunday.

Prof Ibrahim and Maulana Yousaf Shah had arrived in North Waziristan via helicopter to convey the demands of the government’s committee to the Taliban leadership on Saturday.

The official helicopter was made available to the Taliban negotiations committee after a demand by the TTP in order to facilitate the negotiators.

Sources said TTP nominated negotiators were seen satisfied during the meeting.

On Saturday, Prof Ibrahim and Maulana Yousaf Shah first held a two-hour long meeting with the political agent of North Waziristan in Miranshah and then left Tochi Fort for an undisclosed location in a convoy of three vehicles.

Sources said a meet took place between the Taliban Shura and Prof Ibrahim and Maulana Yousaf Shah at an undisclosed location in North Waziristan. During the meeting the government’s demands were conveyed to the Taliban Shura.
