ISLAMABAD: A group allegedly involved in selling kidneys was busted by the police in the jurisdiction of the Lohi Bher police station.
According to the police the accused would bring people to the federal capital from Faisalabad promising them jobs. The group would then take these people to a private hospital where their kidneys were removed.
Police said the accused were behind the removal of the kidney of Zeeshan who was paid Rs10,000. The group would sell the livers for Rs2-3 million.
Those arrested include Ijaz and Muhammad Khalid, while police are still searching for Dr Aniq and Riffat who were carrying out the operations at the private hospital in Islamabad.
