RAWALPINDI: The media wing of the military, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) says a major of the Pakistan army was martyred in a terrorist attack outside Peshawar.

According to the ISPR, Major Jahenzeb was martyred when terrorists attacked a security forces vehicle. Three terrorists were killed when forces retaliated.

Major Jahenzeb's funeral prayer was offered at the Corps Headquarters.

The attack follows a breakdown in peace talks between the committees formed by the government and Taliban after the killing of 23 FC personnel by the Mohmand Agency Taliban.
