FATULLAH: Afghanistan captain Mohammad Nabi won the toss and elected to field first against Pakistan in the third match of the 12th Asia Cup here at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium on Thursday.

Afghanistan minnows in international cricket, are playing for the first time in the Asia Cup.

Pakistan are playing their second match in the tournament after losing the opening match of the event by 12 runs against Sri Lanka on Wednesday.

They made one change in the team, bringing in right-arm medium-fast bowler Anwar Ali in place of pacer Bilawal Bhatti.

Pakistan: Sharjeel Khan, Ahmed Shehzad, Mohammad Hafeez, Sohaib Maqsood, Misbah-ul-Haq (captain), Umar Akmal, Shahid Afridi, Anwar Ali, Umar Gul, Saeed Ajmal, Junaid Khan.

Afghanistan: Mohammad Shahzad, Noor Ali Zadran, Asghar Stanikzai, Nawroz Mangal, Mohammad Nabi (captain), Samiullah Shenwari, Najibullah Zadran, Mirwais Ashraf, Hamza Hotak, Dawlat Zadran, Shapoor Zadran.
