Two cops among five killed in armed attack

KHAIRPUR: Five people including children and two head constables were killed in Pir Jo Goth on Thursday night.

According to details some armed men attacked the house of head constable Ameen Chandio at Kutchi abadi and started firing upon the family members as a result head constable Muhammad Ameen Chandio his son Bilawal 11, relatives Aves and Hajjan were killed on the spot.

The culprits ran away from the scene. On receiving information police followed the culprits.

In the encounter with assailants the driver of police mobile head constable Nasrullah Kalhoro died while the culprits escaped.

The police said one of the armed assailants was also killed in the encounter but they took away his body.

The cause of murder was an old enmity.
