ISLAMABAD: The Interior Ministry on Thursday, challenged the suspension of the detention order for Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, the alleged mastermind of the Mumbai attacks, in the Supreme Court.
Earlier, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) had suspended Lakhvi's notification of detention orders.
Later, Lakhvi was presented in court with regards to the kidnapping case. The court rejected the plea of the police for Lakhvi’s five-day physical remand and sent the alleged mastermind of the Mumbai attacks case to Adiala prison on 14-day judicial remand.
The court has directed Lakhvi to appear again on January 15.
