LAHORE:Workers of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League (PMLN) and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) clashed in Lahore on Sunday night resulting in the death of a PTI worker while four people including one PMLN worker were injured.

PTI Leader Shafqat Mahmood termed the clash one of the worst examples of hooliganism, warning that if the Police did not take immediate action the situation may get out of control. He added that future plan of action will be decided in the morning.

Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the incident and summoned a report from CCPO Lahore.

The First Information Report (FIR) of the PTI workers death was registered late in the night. The FIR includes murder, attempted murder and terrorism clauses.

Arrests

CCPO Lahore had formed three teams for the arrest of those involved.

Police have arrested Alladitta, the main accused of the firing on PTI workers. The nine other suspects have also been nabbed and being interrogated.

Police said, accused Alladitta had set up PML-N office in his residence, adjacent to PTI’s election office despite police warning.
