SYLHET: The Netherlands were restricted to 140 for five by Zimbabwe in their First Round Group B match of the fifth World Twenty20 Cup here at the Sylhet Divisional Stadium on Wednesday.
Netherlands captain Peter Borren won the toss and elected to bat first but his decision proved wrong as his four top-order batsmen were dismissed for only 35 runs in the fifth over.
However, it was Tim Cooper who rescued the Netherlands and helped them to set a 141-run target for Zimbabwe.
Cooper remained not out on 72 which he made from 58 balls with nine fours and a six.
Only three other batsmen along with ‘Mr Extras’ could get into the double figures.
For Zimbabwe, off-break bowler Prosper Utseya claimed two wickets for 24 runs.
