LONDON: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has suspended basic membership of its leader Saleem Shahzad for violation of discipline, Geo News reported on Friday.

His membership has been suspended for indefinite period. The MQM said in a statement it has nothing to do with the business dealings of Saleem Shahzad.

Talking to Geo News correspondent, Shahzad said he will soon make revelations to expose ‘corrupt mafia’ within the MQM.

He said he would expose corrupt elements who have hijacked the party to make money.
