English women’s cricket team in T-20 WC final

DHAKA: The England women's cricket team has defeated their South African counterparts by nine wickets to reach their second successive Women's World Twenty20 final.

An unbeaten 44 by Sarah Taylor took the 2009 champions, who will meet Australia in Sunday's final in Mirpur, to their target inside 17 overs, dismissing South Africa for 101 with only Chloe Tryon (40) and Mignon du Preez (23) in double figures.

According to the reports in international press, Somerset seamer Anya Shrubsole, who has responded with 12 wickets- the most in the tournament, had taken two early wickets to give England a boost in the game and maintain her position to lead the attack in Bangladesh, with bowlers Katherine Brunt and Laura Marsh out injured.

England has been given the opportunity to avenge their defeat to Australia in Sri Lanka two years ago and complete a 12-month period that has seen them regain the Ashes at home, then successfully defend it Down Under, the report added.
